A Funny Thing Happened On The Way To The Gym!

Saturday, April 30th, 2005

I know I’m not the only person who finds it difficult to muster up the motivation to hit the gym. Firstly, it’s simply tedious. Secondly, refer back to “Firstly”.

However, just 30 minutes of cardio and a couple hundred crunches later I look like I’ve run the Boston Marathon and I feel fantastic.(Ed note: “crunches” not actual ab-ripping method commonly performed by really fit individuals. Author’s “crunches” are the lazy kind performed on the bench - with the behind-the-head handlebars that make it sorta like sit-ups with training wheels)

Which Pics To Pick?

My agent called me a couple of months ago to suggest I get new headshots taken. I must admit I was putting off the inevitable. Was I in denial? Absolutely! Everytime I got new copies of my old casting photos it was my version of the fountain of youth. That is, until I realized it was also bordering on false advertising! Before I get accused of misrepresenting myself I thought I’d heed my agent’s advice and arrange a new photo session. I’m not saying that since my last pictures were issued I had morphed into some sort of circus freak but they WERE from the last millennium! O.K., so it was only 1998…but people have been charged with fraud for less!

Roving Reporter Strikes Again!

My agent called again today. I landed another role from a recent audition. I’m on a bit of a run. Not that VARIETY has stopped the presses to get this news flash on tomorrow’s front page. The movie is called “Murder In The Hamptons”. However, something tells me I won’t be flying to the actual New York celebrity playground to perform my part.

‘Tis The Season

Spring is here and that means I can do two of my favourite things. Ride my motorcycle and play golf. I love to ride my bike. No better feeling. Except a hole in one. I like golf. Golf doesn’t like me. You know why they call it golf? All the other 4-letter words were taken.

In a twist of fate of art imitating life I have found myself on board as the branding voice for Golf Town’s national television campaign. I did some work for this client a few years back. I sound like a good golfer in the commercials at least.
