While taking a break from the gruelling world of voice recording, I found myself in a bit of a vocal exercise with my daughter, Teaghan, that left me exhausted.  I had walked upstairs to the kitchen from the basement studio to find my gal “washing the dishes”.  This incidentally is accomplished by running enough water to alter the humidity ratio of the entire household while barely affecting the cleanliness factor of aforementioned dishes.

I asked what she was doing.  A silly question that received the equally silly yet adorably obvious answer.  I mentioned it was almost time for bed.  She then proceeded to lure me into what seemed like an Abbott & Costello skit.

Cool Stuff in Hot Places

While recently in Cancun on business I turned on the TV in the hotel room and got the NBC feed from Miami.  It was like deja vu all over again since the same thing had happened the year previous when I was working for the same client while MC’ing a conference in the Bahamas.

The reason it’s noteworthy is because that particular peacock affiliate in Florida is a client of mine.  There’s something very cool about travelling from home in Canada, to Mexico or the Caribbean, and hearing yourself beamed in from the U.S.
